Hurricanes

Hurricane “season” typically begins on June 1st and runs through November 30th.  In 2023, long-range forecasters are predicting a slightly below-average hurricane season in the Atlantic. In its annual predictions, Colorado State University forecasted 13 named storms, six hurricanes, and two major hurricanes for 2023. Although no one knows when the first named hurricane for 2023 (Arlene) will form, now is the time to review your plans and ensure you are ready.  The National Hurricane Center and Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER) have excellent resources related to hurricane preparedness for you, your family, staff, and patients.
