The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) has assembled resources to help protect patients in or at risk of detention, including emergency information cards for patients on dialysis or living with kidney transplants, as well as a clinician-focused FAQ on kidney failure in detention facilities. ASN encourages members to use and share these resources to help prevent dangerous interruptions in dialysis or immunosuppressive therapy and improve outcomes for people living with kidney failure.
