Hantavirus Alert May 21, 2026
The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that the type of hantavirus responsible for the current outbreak on a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean is the Andes virus. Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms (MDROs) Compendium
The Current & Emerging Threats (CET) project is adding a new section to the CET resource catalog- the Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms (MDROs) Compendium.
The MDRO Compendium will grow as antimicrobial resistant organisms become greater safety concerns to the nephrology patient population. It is designed to help heath care professionals better understand risks, testing, IPC precautions, and treatments for MDROs.
