About FinD

The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) is proud to announce the launch of Fostering Inclusivity in Dialysis (FinD), a groundbreaking leadership training program designed to create future generations of leaders, regardless of your current level of practice.

This nephrology leadership training program will cultivate the necessary skills for nephrologists that will translate into improving outcomes and experiences for people living with kidney diseases impacted by health care disparities. FinD will accomplish this goal by offering a one-year virtual leadership training, career-specific mentoring, and networking experience for early career nephrologists including those in fellowship training. If you are interested or know someone who may be interested in developing leadership skills in nephrology, please apply here.

FinD is sponsored by a grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) in the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

FinD is searching for nephrology professionals to join our leadership training program!

Recognizing the need for diversity in the workforce, individuals from all professional nephrology tracks are encouraged to apply!

What you can expect as a participant:

  • Comprehensive Training: : didactic and experiential training, career development, and leadership training in health care disparities.
  • Longitudinal Mentorship: robust mentorship and networking program to support participants’ career goals.
  • Future Opportunities: pathway to ASN activities and leadership roles

All professional nephrology tracks are encouraged to apply.

Application Requirements:

  • Letter of recommendation from the Division Director or equivalent supervisor, specifically supporting the individual’s ability to commit to program activities.
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Completed Application

Selection Considerations:

  • Applicants should be prepared to discuss their career related interests, education background, experiences with underserved populations, involvement in health organizations, and examples of overcoming challenges through teamwork.
